MALTA 8 days/2014 – BEAUTIFUL DAY BY DAY - PART 2

Of course we returned to this little island that charmed us, but at the end of June, because the temperature is lower, 37-38 degrees Celsius. Altogether an airline introduced a direct flight to Malta, fact that reduced our budget and has made us happier. This time we visited also places that were left unvisited.
We started with a walk in Marsaskala , we missed the endless cliff with a beautiful view on the city's creeks . In the evening we ran to the
supermarket and enjoyed the delicious grilled maltese sausages : D .
The next day we found out that from our maltese friends we've made in the meantime, that we will go to a special club and there is a 'dress code' (no jeans or short for boys) so we ran to the mall in Sliema, a cozy little town, but crowded, considered a buisness center, where surprinsenly the prices of the clothes were lower that those from Romania's malls (same brands). Then we returned to the souvenir fair in Ta ' Qali village (that was closed in part 1) and we spent good hours there to admire it. We passed by Ta ' Qali National Park but we didn't have time to visit (we hope it will happen in the third part :D ). In the evening we went out with our friends and they took us in Birgu Waterfront, where we chilled with a drink and talked until morning.

On the third day, we went to Popey the sailor man village, where the movie with the same name was filmed. It's a small village with
brightly colored houses , situated in a beautiful cove. Entry was 12 euro/person, price included : the visit of all the houses, the ship,
and whatching the movie “Popeye the sailor man”. Children will be charmed by this little world of fairy tale. If you do not want to
enter you can admire it from the left side of the bay (follow the road). Then went on foot to Mellieha Beach :), a sandy beach, big
enough, which is at a distance of 2 km. In the evening we went to the club, which is in open air-Marrakesh, in Gianpula, very nice , with
good music, entry 6 euro / person, as price information for a bottle of vodka + a juice box was 60 euros.

On the fourth day, the boys went fishing early in the morning (they caught just one fish :) ) and then we met and went to a quiet place
near Marsaskala reachable only by boat, in which we splashed and did scuba diving. Friends prepared us an albacore, in carppaccio style
and it was the best fish we ever eat.

On the fifth day, we went for a tour through Valletta, to see again Barrakka Gardens , after which we went to Saint Julien, a luxurious
city, to visit a private port of a luxurious hotel and in the evening we went to Mdina with our friends and dined at a restaurant that
offered a beautiful view of the city, called Vinum Wine Bar & Bistro (1 pizza + 1 juice – 12 euro/pers).

The sixth day, we went to the Blue Lagoon, where we spent all day scuba diving and swimming to Cominotto and back. In the
evening our friends appeared by surprise and tooked us with the boat from the Blue Lagoon and went for a ride over
the east coast to the south of the island. We have seen Valletta, Birgu Waterfront again but at daylight and the fishing
village Marsaxlokk with the traditional colorful fishing boats " luzzu " . It was the best ride ever : D! We recommend you
to try this experience ! There are many boats that offer tours at affordable prices . After all the sun, we were welcomed by a traditional rabbit dish
which was very tasty .

The seventh day, we went to Gozo, this time we didn't purchased a trip, but we took the bus (ticket price 1,2
euro / day) when we reached the port of Mgarr to Ramla Beach, a beach of a rare beauty, large, with reddish sand. We took full advantage and we splashed
all day long being the last day of our stay. In the evening we went out again with friends and we went to another
club from Gianpula, with same name, entry 6 euro/person, specifically teenagers, but we had lots of fun. Hardly we
accepted it was the last day of stay in Malta.
