Today I want to
share with you a special place in Romania that has remained in my
soeul, that I visited every year from the last 10 years, with family,
and also my last holiday with my mother, which now is watching me
from a better world.
It is called Baile
Tusnad, located in Olt gorge, at an altitude of 650m, between
mountains Harghita and Bodoc, also known as "little
Switzerland".
It is a very small resort with several hotels and guesthouses, a base
treatment, where warm carbonated baths are made, applications with
paraffin, hydrotherapy and physiotherapy, medical gymnastics,
electrotherapy. Currently there are used six natural springs for
treating the cardiovascular diseases, urinary and nervous system.
Outdoor basin is fed by waters from Spring Baths and is only open
during the summer.
What you can do
outside the resort spa treatment? Hiking in the mountains or you can
visit: campsite with colorful cottages, lake Ciucas, lake Saint Ann –
the only volcanic lake in Romania, at a distance of 11 km. I advice
to go with personal or rented car. And also do not go for night walks
because you will meet the bears. :)
The subalpine
climate, the powerful ozone air, rich in aerosols and negative ions
make the resort have a tonic bioclimate, favorable for psichical
relaxation.
It is the perfect
place where tourists can mix visitting, treatment and relaxation.
