Danube's Gorge is a place that
will charm you from the first moment, natural and full of sights that
are waiting to be visited. It is located at a distance of 50 km from
Drobeta Turnu Severin city, separates Carpati mountains from Balcani
mountains and creates Small Boilers and Big Boilers. You can choose a
boat ride on the Big Boilers that includes visitting Ponicova Cave
and Veterani Grotto and
on Small Boilers to see Decebal's
face, the biggest sculpture in mountain from Europe and Mraconia
bay (30 lei/person).
Because we arrived in this point, we decided to
see also Bigar waterfall, a tuff waterfall, the most beautiful in the
world, according to the list compiled
in 2013 with the most impressive waterfalls in the world by The
World Geography website.
It is located at a distance of 60 km from Danube's Gorge, in the
natural rezerve under the same name. Pictures speack for themselves.
